Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and CamHunter for the use of the CamHunter app and this website. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.

1. What CamHunter does

CamHunter helps you look for devices you did not expect: it lists what is connected to the Wi-Fi network you are on, listens for Bluetooth devices advertising nearby, turns the camera into an infrared viewer for spotting camera lenses in the dark, and shows a map of publicly reported surveillance cameras and Wi-Fi points.

2. What it cannot promise

CamHunter is a detection aid, not a guarantee. It can only report what a phone is physically able to observe. A hidden camera that stores footage locally, is switched off, is wired rather than wireless, sits on a different network or simply does not advertise itself will not appear — and something entirely harmless may well be flagged as suspicious.

Signal strength, estimated distances, manufacturer names and the map are approximations drawn from public data and may be inaccurate or out of date. Do not rely on CamHunter as your only safeguard, and do not use it in place of law enforcement, a professional sweep or legal advice where those are what the situation calls for.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old and able to enter a binding agreement, and you need an Apple ID and a compatible device. If you are using the app somewhere that requires an adult's consent for someone your age, you need that consent.

4. Acceptable and lawful use

You agree to use CamHunter only on networks and in places where you are entitled to, and specifically not to:

• scan networks you are not authorised to be on, or use the app to gain access to devices that are not yours;
• interfere with, disrupt or attempt to connect to other people's devices;
• use what the app shows you to track, harass, stalk or surveil anyone;
• break any law that applies to you — network scanning and monitoring are regulated differently from country to country, and it is your responsibility to know the rules where you are;
• reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the app, except where that right cannot be excluded by law.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Part of CamHunter is free to use, with a limited number of free scans and free openings of the other tools. A CamHunter Pro subscription removes those limits and unlocks the remaining features.

• Subscriptions are sold through the App Store. The current price, period and any free trial are shown in the app before you confirm, and charged to your Apple ID at confirmation.
• A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings, not in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
• If a free trial is offered and you subscribe during it, any unused part of the trial is forfeited.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy. We cannot issue them ourselves.

6. Your data

Scans, history and trusted devices are stored on your device and are yours. How the little that leaves your device is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Our intellectual property

The app, its name, design, text and code belong to us and are protected by copyright and other laws. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control; nothing else is granted.

8. Availability and changes to the app

We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering the app altogether. We try to keep everything working, but we do not promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, and some features depend on your device, its iOS version and the permissions you granted.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a device the app failed to detect or wrongly flagged. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and you may have consumer rights in your country that these terms do not affect.

10. Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting the app; cancel the subscription separately in your Apple ID settings if you have one. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use CamHunter after an update means you accept the revised terms.

12. Apple

The app is licensed, not sold, to you, and the licence is governed by Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, except where these terms are more restrictive. Apple is not a party to these terms, has no obligation to provide support for the app, and is not responsible for claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
